Who we are

Rides by Chris (rides.loggins.cc) is a personal ride-request service operated by Christopher Loggins. Friends and known contacts create an account on this site to request rides from Chris.

What we collect

When you create an account and request rides, we collect:

• Your name and mobile phone number, so we can identify you and text you ride updates.
• Ride details: pickup and drop-off locations, requested times, and messages you exchange with the driver about an active ride.
• One-time codes sent to your mobile number to verify it when you log in.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to operate the service: verifying your account, confirming and scheduling rides, sending ride status messages to the mobile number you provided, and settling up after a ride. We do not use your information for advertising.

SMS messaging

You opt in to SMS messages from Rides by Chris by checking the consent box next to your mobile number when you create your account. We use your number to send ride-related texts from Chris, such as ride confirmations, pickup time estimates, driver arrival notices, and messages from Chris about an active ride. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can get help by replying HELP.

Service providers

We use a messaging provider to deliver SMS messages on our behalf and a hosting provider to run the site. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service to us. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Data retention

We keep your account and ride history while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by contacting us.
